Mollie Doyle, President

Former Random House Editor, ghost writer, and lifelong summer resident, Mollie Doyle has lived on the Island with her husband, Thomas Bena and their daughter Emma for 10 years. Now a freelance writer, Mollie is a regular contributor for the Vineyard Gazette and also writes for Edible Vineyard, Vineyard Style and Martha’s Vineyard Magazine. In addition, Mollie is the Founder and Director of Yoga for The Yard in Chilmark and teaches yoga on Martha’s Vineyard year round and around the world. Mollie believes healthy fields foster healthy kids and a vibrant community at large.

Dardanella Slavin, Treasurer

Dardy grew up in Chilmark and graduated from the MVRHS in 1993. She played field hockey and ran track. She went on to attend Connecticut College where she majored in mathematics and played field hockey and ice hockey. Dardy became the assistant field hockey and lacrosse coach at Hartwick College for 2 years, then returned to Connecticut College for a year as assistant field hockey coach. Dardy graduated, with honors, from New York Chiropractic College in 2005 with a doctorate in chiropractic. She has been co-owner of Integrated Health Care, a multidisciplinary practice on the Vineyard, ever since. Dardy is married to Sean Slavin, a police officer in Chilmark, and they have two boys. In addition to being a founding member of The Field Fund, Inc., Dardy spends her free time volunteering as a coach for youth soccer and hockey and as a board member of the Vineyard Birth Collective. She appreciates the community that raised her and wants to pass that feeling along to the next generation.

Rebekah Thomson, Clerk

Rebekah is a mother of three and a pediatric sleep coach. She grew up in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Wesleyan University. Rebekah taught middle school English and history for nine years -- in San Francisco then Barcelona, where she met her husband, Joshua. They moved to the Vineyard in 2010 to raise their three children free range. Rebekah coaches youth soccer, serves on the Board of the Chilmark Preschool, and is a founding member of the Vineyard Birth Collective and The Field Fund, Inc. As an environmentalist, advocate for children, and athlete, Rebekah is proud to be a part of the effort to improve the Island’s grass playing fields for all to enjoy.
